bow length

jayman448:
ive been shooting my 58' r/d bow and have found considerable finger pinch. id like to go to 64 or 66" but all the bows ive seen (talkin glass bows now. shame on me) in this length are ridiculously expensive. there are some nice looking flatbows at 68 inches but im wondering if that is too long to be any good for an all around type bow (target and hunting). thoughts?

chamookman:
What is Your draw weight ? Mine is 27" bop. In the type of Bow You mention, I've always shot 60"-62" bows (Long Bow or Recurve) without problem. Bob

Urufu_Shinjiro:
You could always switch to thumb ring, lol.

PEARL DRUMS:
What RD bow are you talking?

jayman448:
Im currently pulling my 47#@28" to 27" on the dot. I get a hell of a bloody string burn and blisters and calluses right through a leathet glove but only on the bottom half of my ring finger which is why im assuming its the string angle. (Plus i shoot three under) i was looking at those cheap samick longbows (verna, sage long, red stag). I just dont have the money to blow on something like a Bear patriot or something like that.
