trade points and knife

(1/1)

crooketarrow:
Here's a couple trade points and knife I made from 1095 old saw mill blades.  1095's A good edge steel. I've made and retemper'ed 100's of trade points and 40,50 knives from old 1095 steel.

Pat B:
That's a wicked looking knife. The trade points should work well. How heavy are they?

crooketarrow:
I put teeth if wanted. There great for cutting (sawing)up thru the brisket. Right now those heads are 200,210 gr.  Down side those teeth will hurt you.

When I get done with points, shaping and sanding smooth even them up. I brown them. They'll come out around 190 gr. There 2 3/4x1 ,1/8 thick.

I front of a dog wood arrow.

If there for me personally. I hav'nt weighted a head or arrow since I quit compounds. That was long ago.

Face the truth we shoot slow wood bows where 3 gr's or 13 gr's. don't matter. We get this because most of us shot compounds to start with. Where 3 grains dose matter.

Any peice of wood will shoot a good arrow.

But a bad arrow won't shoot out of the best bow.
