Nothing fancy

Zuma:
I have wanted to make a sheath for a knife a buddy
gave me for quite a while. I had some stuff laying around,
so I cut and punched some holes in a hunk of leather.
Some hemp stitching and I'm happy.

BowEd:
Looking good Zuma.Really nice knife to get as a gift or trade.Did you put a welt in the seam?

Pat B:
I'll take function over fancy any day.  8)

Zuma:
If a welt is for recessing the stitches,
No, I don't really have any leather tools.
I used an old awl and a single edge razor blade.
Should have used some flint flakes. O:)

Pat I guess that's the point.  ;) It does exactly what
I want it to do. Maybe something nice in the future.
I sure do like the nice things other members make.

Pat B:
Zuma, the welt protects the stitching from the blade. It is a narrow piece of leather that is stitched in between the front and back, along the stitch line.
