Bending laminates

(1/1)

SCbake:
Hi folks. I returned to an old project where I have a bamboo backed hickory bow ready for tillering. I used epoxy for the join.  From improper storage the tip of one limb has twisted. How can I straighten the limb without separating the bamboo from the hickory?

Thanks in advance,
SCbake

Exactly what type of epoxy did you use?

I have actually used TB3 and used heat to add more reflex into the tips without compromising the stability or strength.  I use welwood plastic resin now.  Not sure about bamboo, I use maple, oak and BW for lams.

Good luck.
