Cromm,
Never had to think what a gourd was???? They are a plant that is harvested in the fall here. Not grown commercially.... mainly just for fun in small gardens. If they are not suspended some way to keep them off of the ground they will bend and turn (like a snake) if they touch the ground!! Some gourds are used for fall decorating... I think maybe pumpkins are gourds??
Some gourds like this snake gourd dry out to just a thin shell. Bird house gourds are another gourd that dries to a outer shell. They are used for......what else but birdhouses!!
huntertrapper, It is kind of fragile but I think it will hold up fine for stump shooting and going to 3-d shoots. Definately would not want to lean on it hard or sit on it by accident in a hunting situation!! >:D It is kind of like the thickness of the cardboard wrapping paper comes on.
That's all I now about gourds!!!!! :D ;)

That quiver is awesome, i love the way you can access the arrows. i bet if you had enough gourds you could make a tidy sum selling those. i want one!!!
