Awesome. The width taper looks sort of pyramid-ish. Yet people say that it's not a good profile for R/D bows???  :NN

Loon a lot of r/d bows are parallel 6-8" from each fade and straight taper from there, you can also recurve a straight taper from fade to tip
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.

Oh, the black at the nodes and orange in the back is because of the dye? It looks very cool

Width taper is only 1/3 of the story on a pyramid bow, Loon.  Another third is the consistent THICKNESS all along, and the last is the circular arc to the tiller.

If you make a R/D bow with a straight side taper, you can manipulate the thickness to get the tiller right.  But, then it isn't strictly a pyramid bow.  That's all.
