Paul I'm gonna try. So far I haven't done so good with that beautiful stave you gave me. I was sure I'd get two bows from it. Had first one tear a big chunk out of belly with draw knife and now this. I think this one just wants to be a bendy handle so hopefully it'll cooperate with me. :BB

Not the smokin' hot tips you are looking for...
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

Often you have to chose to either laugh or cry.  I would rather laugh when I can over bows and the like. There are enough other good reasons for tears.

Well, I got no room to judge. I'm still in the garage after my last mishap. Nobody hurt and house still standing/ it's a good day!

I ruined a black locust selfbow that was just about done when I ran out of water steaming the handle to align the tips a little better, I should have left it alone but I was to anal! Once the water evaporates it doesn't take long to scorch the wood. Threw it out and and started a new one, easy fix!

Well I can see I'm in a lot of good company guys. Yes Bob I was really caught off guard how fast it went up in smoke. It went from steam to smoke in very short order.
