--- Quote from: Pat B on May 20, 2017, 11:59:38 am ---I built one hickory backed lemonwood bow a few years ago and enjoyed the way it worked. I built a 1940's ALB style and donated it, a tube quiver and some old painted Bear arrows(from Pearlie) to the raffle table at the Classic a few years ago. Cipriano had someone buy 1 ticket for it and won. :OK
I have another lemonwood stave that I will back with hickory for another ALB bow.

And what a sucker I was... :'(
Pat B:
Scott, did you buy that ticket for Cipriano? .....you sucker! :P

I got one of these staves at Marshal and want to know what an Alb is? Does lemon wood need backed or will rawhide suffice?
Thank you for the trade ksnow!

You are welcome, Sleek. Not sure of the exact design of an American Long Bow. I have always heard of lemon wood backed with hickory or maple.
