Laminate Glass strips

Hello all ,
Another question . I have seen Laminate Glass strips advertised somewhere and was not sure what they are used for in bow making ?
Am I right in thinking these  72" x 2" x 1mm thick strips can be used to reinforce the belly of something like  a recurve horse bow ( in compression ) ? and if so what is the best adhesive to bond it to wood ?

Mike, I'm going to move this to around the campfire because of the FG.
 You could use it as a belly lam but horn would be better.
 I think a glue like Smooth On is used for FG to wood.

Keep in mind that if you use glass on one side of a bow, youhave to use it on both sides. There may still be wood in the middle, but the fg would be doing all the work . Just mentioning fg on this site will get you minus bonus points.

glass belly and HMPE backing has interested me. I think Fethi Hincal has used HMPE for backing?

something i've fantasized of doing is solid fiberglass bending limbs 'horsebows' with wooden siyahs and grip reinforcement, like the Alibow fiberglass bows. But I'm not sure of what fiberglass is suitable and could be acquired for cheap

Like Aaron said, use it on back and belly. Epoxy is needed to glue it up. A lot of the bowyers I know use Smooth On EA40. It does not require heat to cure, it just takes longer at room temp. 24 hours I believe.
