BJ those were river cane shafts from Bills place. I ended up finishing two while I was there and gave them to Mike (stix) as a gift. They both were in the 50-55# range and flew great from my 50# bow.

Heres the arrow I got from Mullet. Like nothing I have. I have plenty of cane but no bamboo arrows. I think buffalo nock, goose feathers and bamboo shaft with a well made legal hunting point. As strait as a .. arrow. Sinew and thread wrap. Amazing how narrow the shaft is and still has a 50# spine. I have 10 of these bamboo shafts in my garage. This may inspire me to use them. Thanks Mullet!
