Pottery Kiln to Flint Kiln

(1/1)

Dfisher12:
Hi, I am new to this forum but joined because I noticed some older topics related to making your own kiln. I am currently beginning the project of converting a pottery kiln into one for heat treating rock. I have read a bit on the robert-shaw #55-135 method and making elements out of .035 mig wire. I was curious if anyone had pictures of their own that they made in this fashion. It would really help my project to get a visual or even some video on this process. I saw there used to be some pictures in an old post from 2009 but they seem to be long gone.

Hi Dale welcome to PA, I'm afraid I can't help with your question. I'm thinking some of the guys that can are probably at Flint Ridge knap-in this weekend. Maybe they will chime in here later in the week.

Dale,
Welcome to PA!  These folks have a wealth of knowledge to share and are willing to do it.  Of course, you may also get arid or two, but always good information!
