Things from femurs (pic heavy)

Lucasade:
First go at making things out of bone, but I will definitely do more as it's a lovely material. I used a coping saw, rasp, file and (for the needles) medium sandpaper. The arrowheads are deliberately left rough but will be sharpened properly in due course.

Pat B:
Nice work. I can see the potential in what you're making. Have you tried longer blades like knives and daggers?

Hawkdancer:
Nice work!  The bone is on my list of shaping and sharpening, too.  What size are the points?  Like Pat said, there is good potential.  Will e looking forward to seeing those sharpened up and hafted.

GlisGlis:
Beware that apparently breathing bone dust will affect badly your lungs. Wear a protective mask
really like the needles

Lucasade:
The arrowheads entirely by chance came out almost exactly the same size as Otzi's (although his were stone of course) which made me happy. I've just gone for a simple design to start with while I'm learning. Next on the list is a knife but I need a new bone for that as I've only got a few scraps of this one left. There may be enough for a dagger though. Any ideas for other bits and bobs?

I'm being careful with the dust - took good note of that in the reading before I started.
