Hello, I would like to make a bow from ash and I love the look of a lever tip does anyone have some dimensions for me to rough my bow to?

With European Ash / Fraxinus excelsior - 28 inch draw around 50# 68 long. 2 inch wide through the working limb with only a slight taper down to 1 3/4 then 2inch 'fades' to the tips. Make the tips 1/3 or the length from handle to tip, working sections 2/3 rds. Elliptial tiller, do not get it working too much near the handle. Trapped back and heat treated belly.
I made quite a few of these style bows a few years ago and they are fantastic shooters when you get one right. If you don't trap the back and heat treat it ash fantastic strength in tension will overpower the belly and you will get a bunch of set.

What do you mean by traping the back and heat treating the belly?
