Real nice work!  Far above my capability at present.  Btw, if you are experiencing mischief from the "little people", you may be able to placate them by leaving a wee nip of potcheen on the work bench, but be sure to turn the lights off! >:D ;)

I drew my incised lines in with a combination of freehand and a ruler, my first cut was several passes with a small V gouge and followed up with a knife edge file.

The metal finish is cold blue. At first I used Oxpho blue but couldn't get good coverage so I used Birchfield Casey Perma Blue. After I got an even darker color I scrubbed it back to gray with a scotch bright pad.

Thanks Eric. I've done it with the v-gouge, now will have to try finishing with the knife edge file.
A Kibler kit is in the near term future here.
