Knives and stands

First time making stands for a couple of knives that I knapped last week.

Not sure what this rock is. Cooked it up and it turned to butter for me.  Even healed the crack going up the middle.

I doubt it Don. Wife and I was in South Dakota this past summer and stopped at an antique store and the guy was selling his sisters lapidary rock. Probably some western jasper.
