Found point and Rock ID

(1/2) > >>

Stoner:
Found this point here in Oklahoma. Would like to know what type of stone this is? So I can find some local rock to knapp.

Stoner:
Oops forgot pic.

Morgan:
Where you at in Oklahoma? Not sure what that is but Eastern Oklahoma is full of flint rock, or at least what everyone here calls flint anyway. I know it can make points and knives though.

mullet:
That is basicly a resharpened, wore out point.I don't know enough about points in Ok., but most points are identified from the stem. The rock looks like a grade of Georgetown.

bjrogg:
Afraid I can't help you stoner, but it sure looks slick. Seems like it be some real nice material to work.
