Deer Tine Flaking - Clovis preform work

Hummingbird Point:
There are over 12,000 members on the flintknapping Facebook page.  It has taken me time to learn to use it a little bit, because it is very nebulous and non-linear.  I know that there are thousands of whippersnapper kids who have an easier time.  Lol!  That being said, it is a great tool for making contact with archaeologists, and knappers around the world.

Ben,

How do I find that?  When I search I just find individual's pages.  My wife has an account, so I've been able to see your stuff.

If you are in touch with the archys, it seems to me it shouldn't be that difficult to sort out antler tools in the archaeological record.  If you consider the basic curved base of a deer antler, I may use that as a horizontal punch, billet (long ago) or hafted hammer and each produces a distinctly different wear pattern.  Are you aware of any studies that have looked into this?

Guys,

Luke Cord just followed my notes, and pulled a massive overshot with the same method.  He is the second person today, after Andrew Minnick

AncientTech:
It is just full bazooka, probably because it is heat treated material.  Raw stone should tone it down and get more authentic.

Dang!
Oh wait! never mind, that's the same pic you've done posted in at least two other threads.

AncientTech:
I will probably have to post it many times so the meaning can sink in.
