Balsatech:
The trade items I received were on my porch when I got home from work today. They were from Mo coon catcher and included a good looking 68" black locust stave, 5 bamboo arrow shafts, tanned beaver and coon skin strips for silencers, some boa shed skins and a nice slat of  walnut that can be used for anything from limb tips to handle laminations. I will have to look up how to best use this stave as I have only worked with hedge and some hickory. I asked Clint to maybe post a pic for me later. Thanks Kyle.

Mo_coon-catcher:
Your welcome
I hope you can make use of those ball python sheds. I love to use them myself. With the black locust, chase a ring like you would Osage, then make it wide and heat treat. It’s surprising how thin the limbs get when you go 2” wide and 50# draw. The one I’m working now from the same tree is following that width and heavy heat treat and is 5/16” thick midlimb and is still only getting 15” with 50# pull.the walnut slat is from a figured cutoff from a stave. I ended up making two sets of scales for mine and my grampas ruger black hawk revolvers from slats cut from the same piece
