Forge build

<< < (6/6)

KHalverson:
Fwiw use a regulator for a turkey fryer.
They are adjustable from 0-30 #s working pressure
Don't matter what size propane cylinder from 5#to 100 # cylinder.

Very nice dagger.

Thanks Kevin, I happen to have one of those

Tracker0721:
I had a small propane forge with a single burner. I think my issue was I never let them sit in there. Soon as they hit forging color I’d start hammering. Or my drill bits suck.. haha

Hawkdancer:
I will have to look at the one for my fryer - right now it is "in service" on my tent stove >:D -C- (=)!  Keeps the tent warm! And provides a cooking surface, too. Up to 145k? Btus!

Here is a short video of the test run on my single burner. I had red hot steel very fast, the makeshift forge is just that, makeshift. Time to start that build and I will have pics. This burner was simply a 10" x 1" black pipe, a quart inch nipple and cap, and a .035 welding nipple for a wire feed. I drilled a bunch of holes for air flow to create a Venturi pretty simple and I will post pics shortly
