Restoration for a friend

(1/2) > >>

burchett.donald:
Had a friend at work bring me his Grandfather's razor with no handle and asked if I would put a set on it...I went to the internet for some research and found an original picture with the box...
I used brass pins and phenolic scales to do my best to match...Not much to it, but to him it was a big deal to have it back close to original form...Pinning was tedious because these razor's are brittle...

Picture # 1  Is the original from a web site...
Picture # 2, 3 and 4 are the final job...

Nice restoration Don.  A guy at work asked me to repair a cheap sword handle.  I'd much rather work on something old and well built like that razor.

Danzn Bar:
Great job, very well done.  Beautiful piece.
