My ragtag temporary forge

What would you use for a blower on an old grill jerry rig, or is one necessary?  Will regular charcoal get hot enough, or do you have a better fuel?  I know my turkey fryer will go up to 145k btu's, and works well in my steel tent stove with propane.  Maybe I have a forge already and don't know it!

Regular charcoal will get got enough, but the lump charcoal gets hotter. Hell I have used scrap lumber. When I use my grill to forge I use an old piece of pipe and a hair dryer I got at Goodwill for $3, that will provide all the heat you need hawk, get to forging 😁
