A freshly heated batch from another time I went down to collect. Most of what was heated was already bifaced but the chunks and large spalls is what I worked down today. Yes I heat all that plus sand at once and yes you can heat 600 degree rock in a average roaster. A really ugly low grade piece of Mill Creek made a great bunch of glassy bifaces despite looking awful when I picked it up. The big one was the core and all the rest were large spalls off it i waited till heating to biface. Also made a mustache Simpson from a piece of the Kaolin as per a customer request.

So do you knap for a living, or for spending money? Or do you have piles of points collecting around the shop? Paul

Just keep em coming bowmo. One of the highlights of my day.
That is a sweet point and some very nice looking material.
