PEARL DRUMS:
I use mine for one thing, flattening boo backers. Other than that it sits idle for years at a time. My band saw does just about everything else I need. They are nice when you need them.

I really don't use it much for bows since I've never made a laminated or boo backed bow. Have used it for some handles. It really shines for other projects likes fitting boards together side by side. I'm sure it would work great for flattening out your Boo.
Jeff I'd love to make it your way someday. Like to visit Flint Ridge and "The Grand Canyon Of The East" in the same trip. Someday maybe I'll have more time to travel I hope. I've got a lot of places and people I'd like to see before I pass.

Eric Krewson:
I had a bench model that was stolen, it worked fine for all my bow making uses. I replaced the bench model with a floor model when I built my shop. I don't use it a lot but it is nice to have when that special project comes up.
BowEd:
It'll come in very handy for you making backed bows.Putting tapers on etc.The grizzly people got it all.I still use my hand held power planer.

Pearly, I never even thought of using it for boo backings. Thank you sir. Where do you get your boo?
BJ, my dad's been to Flint Ridge, says it's a jaw dropper.
I hear those floor models are awesome Eric. A good friend of mine who makes Electric bass guitars has one. He came over when I got mine and showed me how to use it safely. I'm lucky to know him. He's amazing with wood.
I'm curious about using it for putting tapers on Ed. I remember Marc saying he uses his for tapering his maple backings. I wouldn't know where to begin.
