Hawkdancer, it's paper mache, paper towel roll stuffed with plastic grocery bags for the horses body, wire for the man's shape and tissue paper and white glue. The buffalo will start out with a styrofoam egg.

Cool project Pat.Ought to look really nice.I've got a sliver of horn for ya if you want for a horn bow for him to hold if you want.The horn would be black though.

Ed, thanks for the offer. I was thinking about a horn bow but looking for a piece of sheep horn or possibly elk antler so it can be somewhat authentic. I have elk antler. Possibly sinew backed, 5 curve bow.
Zuma, you may have just named the piece for me. :OK
