3 out of 5 made it
GooseGossett:
With a .600 average I'm heading to the hall of fame... of flintknapping. 3 out of 5 made it yesterday afternoon. I'm working on keeping points at a similar weight for hunting. If you hunt with points what is your typical weight. I'm shooting for 70 grains within the legal hunting specks. Thanks.
Hawkdancer:
Nice points, and a good average! I think most steel points are around 125 gr, and 7/8" across the base. Each state seems to have different specs.

Those look good. Mine are usually around 75-80 grains.

Nice knapping. I like the one in the middle. I usually make em just under 125 grains to allow for a little glue and sinew. I normally replace my 125 grain target points with them. I recommend finding a good shooting arrow and replacing the target point with the same weight stone point, glue and sinew weight combination.

Trapper Rob:
Nice looking points now you just need some blood on them.
