BowEd:
Cool Clint.Good move.My access to some of my stands are'nt far from the house too.Less than 75 yards that is.
I've used clover myself for years here as an attractant for these deer.Every herbavore loves the stuff.Turkeys too.In favorable conditions you should'nt need to replant for 5 years.Freeze out from the winter with dry ground conditions can shorten it's life expectancy.
Lately in the cool early morn grasshoppers slowed by the temps I've enjoyed seeing the turkeys catching one after the other.Good protein for them younger birds.
osage outlaw:
I sat in a multi trunked osage tree and watched the corner of a field today. I watched a pair of red headed woodpeckers, squirrels, small birds, and turkeys. I didn't see a deer but it was still a great morning being part of nature again.
H Rhodes:
Awesome! Looks like a great place. Good luck this season.
bjrogg:
I sat in my pickup the first hour and s half. It was raining out. I did see a four point buck but nothing else. I stood on the ground for another hour and a half then decided to get my equipment out of the weather.
I've been busy and healing for the past month. Haven't been able to climb much but starting to get better. Called one of my buddies and he was tired of hunting in the rain to so he helped me put up my new ladder stand. I'm hoping it's a good spot. Wish I could have set it up there a month ago when I put it together.
Weather nothing but rain in forecast for at least a week. Probably try to catch on on the work I can do.
When it does quit raining I'm gonna be crazy busy again.
Hope you guys do lots of hunting a post lots of pictures and stories.

BowEd:
That's the problem here BJ at the moment.Rain, rain, and more rain at the moment. For bow hunting anyway.Rather have that right now than later though during peak rut times.Forecast is for a very wet october. They'll be breaks in there though.
