What to do with some elk hooves?

(1/4) > >>

Mesophilic:
Helped a friend haul out a bull elk today.  I kept the hide and the lower legs, will get the brain tomorrow when he cuts the antlers off to do some brain tanning.

Anyway,  i stripped the sinew from the legs, roasted the bones and put them in a stockpot.  Now I have 4 sets of hooves and I'm wondering what I can do with them, if anyone has a suggestion.

chamookman:
I have made wind chimes from Deer Hooves + Dew Claws dried  :OK . Bob

Mesophilic:
That would be cool and different.  Ok, thanks, I'm pulling them off this morning.

BowEd:
I've made wind chimes from white tail dew claws too.Used to hang them in my teepee.I've kept elk leg skin with dew claws attached yet for making bags too.Heres' one made from deer legs.Cool you plan to brain tan the hide...Makes perfect clothing/quiver material. What plans you got for it?

Mounter:
I used buffalo hooves for tip overlays on a couple bows they get translucent when you sand them thin.
