DC:
Is cane, River, Hill, Switch, etc. similar in appearance and hardness to garden store bamboo stakes or is it a different animal altogether?

Pat B:
Basically, cane is cane. There is a little difference in appearance but they work the same.

mullet:
Garden store stakes are usually Tonken bamboo. A lot more rigid.
