First post and a yew bow

Some of the slab-sided bows would have been 190lb, 200lb no problem.  Bowyers have made copies that have come out over 210lb recently.

Jeeeezzzzz! I'm eager to replicate, but it's gonna take me another seven years to be able to pull that kind of bow. Was that giant one Joe Gibbs made a replica or was that him oversizing beyond that?

If you mean the 240lb one, I'm not sure!  You'd have to ask him.  It may have been built oversize as a training tool, instead of as a direct copy to an original.
