gravel and coral

(1/3) > >>

1442:
raw gravel and cooked coral Florida points.
I think they are Florida points anyway. I loaned out my overstreet book and can't thumb through it to see what I actually made.
The coral point was made a while back at the Niblets Bluff knap in and I came home with three more pieces of coral which I haven't worked yet.
I heard of a knap in in Florida in February and I sure would like to go there and expose myself to more coral.
I love to work that stuff.

1442:
here's the coral.

Hawkdancer:
Nice!

RickB:
Very well done. I can see your fingers through the coral. Love to work that coral too. Hope to pick some more up in Cartersville GA this April.

1442:
thanks
I looked at images of it on line and Dan Thueses points at the knap in and it can be from plain white to extraordinarily colorfull.
I like that along with the fact that it knapped very well too.

Here's a couple more I made tonight from heated gravel slabs. These are the last two slabs from that piece of gravel which where all over cooked a bit for my liking.
