That's a heck of a lot of water Pat.You are lucky to live on high ground.We're above normal a little here in Iowa now too but not to the degree where your at.We had a stretch of 3 weeks where we got 18" last summer.That really filled the ponds back to normal here.
With our colder climate here and basements the norm many had water in their basements.

We had a 6" rain last week ,oh that came down in 3 hours (W. total for the day was 8". but I live 15' above sea level on the coast of Florida so it can be chalked up as a another storm. No reason to start building an ark quite yet. Hope ya'll have a great year

We're in that 10 year category, if not more! Severe drought in SW Colorado and abnormally dry here in the northern Front Range, even with above average snowfall so far! Plus 11 feet of rain and we'd be washed down to Omaha! (lol)
