Biathlon / Archery?

(1/2) > >>

AndrewS:
I'm watching Biathlon in Camore, Kanada on TV.

Has anybody of you practice  Archery and Cross-Country Skiing?

In France I knew a few people, who practice "Ski d'arc" (thats the same as biathlon with bow and arrows....).

As I was young I have done a lot of Cross-Country Skiing with my parents and now, we haven't enough snow for skiing a serious time (in Germany at the Rhine)

I thought, that there a told a lot of stories about Uller the nordic god of archers and skiers....

ksnow:
No skis, but i have done archery and snow shoes. The only down side is if you miss (or when in my case), arrows are very difficult to find in the snow.

Ten years ago I started a snowshoe Shoot at the archery club I belong at. You run the course using snowshoes and shoot at 3D targets. We use your time to complete the course as a tie breaker. We have three classes. Compound with any type of shoe. Traditional bow with any type of shoe and self bow with wood arrows and shoes. A few years back there was a article in Primitive Archer about our Shoot. It is a bunch of fun

mullet:
Only chance here is on a surf board or water skis.
