Staver:
Huntertrapper,  I'm about 5'8" and I wasn't sure how long to make the strap either.  So I used some twine and adjusted it so that it hung with the arrows higher at the top so it would be easy to grab one.  I also wanted it to rest somewheres between my waist and hip at the middle of the quiver.  With all that done I came up with about 45" for a strap.  Then I wanted it to be adjustable so I could give or take a few inches.  I had 2 straps 1 1/2" wide x 40" long.  I used the thickest parts of the strap to anchor onto the stiffener.  The back strap is 40" and the front strap is about 15".   The 2 straps overlap about 5 inches and the anchor points take another 3-4" apiece.  So it worked out pretty well. :)

Thanks for the compliment Mike ;D

Pappy, again thanks for the compliment.  I got the idea to make the badger quiver from the April/May 2007 issue of PA.  Steve Sell had an excellent article on how to make one, so I got the materials and dove in!  I'm really happy with it except it's a little noisy. :-\

Beautiful Quivers staver!

Here is a pic of one that i just started, made out of birch bark and sinew. Im not done cause i dont really know how I want to finish the top, put a possible divider inside, and no clue what to do for a strap or how to attach it, i was wanting to use it as a back quiver. Any ideas on how to complete it, and do you mind if i try to replicate the straps on your?

Again Great job!
