Heavy hunting point
1442:
I was shooting for a 150 grain hunting point with this piece of gravel. It had some cracks and concrete and I couldn't hit where I was aiming, so it turned out a little thicker than planned and weighs 175 grains.
It has a small bump like a mole on one side and some fingernail hinges here and there so it's loaded with features beyond what comes standard on a new hunting point.
Here's the rock and biface

Looks pretty good wish I could knap like that

Still looks like a killer 1442. I usually make 125 grain points but I've been thinking next hunting season I'd like to tune some shorter arrows to my shorter bow. I'm thinking a 175 grain might be just what I need to get my spine right.

I used to haft some really heavy ones on heavy cane shafts for stump shooting, They held up well
