(1/4) > >>

Russ:
I have a racoon thats being tanned with a deer hide. i want to make a hat out of it but cant find a pattern. i would like to keep the face on the front and the tail on the back. you guys got any patterns?

chamookman:
I believe, that Crazy Crow has that exact pattern. Bob

Trapper Rob:
Crazy Crow does have the pattern I seen it on their web site

Russ:
yup I saw it. quite a bit though for a pattern! im going to ask my uncle if he has a pattern now. hes a great trapper! might even see if I could buy a fox hide with my "nephew coupon" 8)

Pat B:
Make a pattern from grocery bag paper. You can fit it right to your head.
If you cut the coon hide do the cutting from the flesh side with a sharp razor so as not to cut through the fur. You'll get a little fur flying this way but not like if you cut from the fur side. If you look up Jackcrafty's hide quiver build alongs in the How To section you can gleen a lot of helpful hints.
