Skinner

Mesophilic:
Just finished up this skinner.  It's based on a Western knife my uncle gave me shortly before he passed.   I'll post a pic of both below.  He carried that knife while enlisted in the Army during the Korean war.

Blade is 52100 high carbon heat treated to 59 HRC.  Handle is a stabilized English walnut bolster with stabilized ambrosia maple, scales.  About 4.5 inch cutting edge with a 9.5 inch overall length.

Here they are both together.

Pat B:
Ooo, that's a stunning knife and a good reproduction of the classic original.   :OK

Hawkdancer:
Very nice job!

Trapper Rob:
Turned out very nice

Mesophilic:
Thanks guys.

Still need to polish and strop the final edge but usually do that after sheath making.  If I come up with a neat sheath that matches her personality I'll post an update pic.
