I’ve used an old ball pen in a pinch. It’s only good for super minor work though.

I have a horseshoe nail but I mainly use a chainsaw rasp ground to a fine point is my go to...works like a charm... gut

Gutpile, can you post a picture of the chainsaw file tool? John

its just a chainsaw blade rasp..round.. with point on it

so is the tang sharp? or the rasp?
