High-tech atlatl

WhistlingBadger:
So, does it strike anybody else funny that 3rivers is selling a carbon atlatl?  I'm not criticizing; if that's your thing cool.  I just find the juxtaposition really funny.  I mentioned this to my wife, who pointed out the irony of an online primitive archery forum.  But that's...um...totally different..........

I don't know, I'll think about while I'm cooking supper in my primitive microwave oven (which I crafted from stone and rawhide).

Yeah i thought it was kinda weird... but then again, im in no place to judge... I stare at trees imagining the kind of bows it could make. aaannnd rocks too.  8)

Stranger things have happened!  I just don't remember what or when! >:D (AT).  That is right up there, though!  Change is constant, progress is optional!  I guess the sling is next!  A carbon fg fabric, maybe (lol). Maybe, I shouldn't give any one ideas!

I think it is hilarious.  I totally want one.  would never buy one.  But I love the irony.

Hawkdancer:
I can understand the sectioned darts for shipping (only in wood, though) but why the atlatl?  I think you still have to throw it by hand/arm power. I'll stay with the wood/bone variety!
