Nice bow.
I've never really thought about it before, but your bow has revealed to me the origins of the hollow limb design, due to the pith.
To me the hollow limb design, if you don't have to deal with a large pith seems like too much unnecessary work, for little gain( a great example of a bowyers skill though).
 In your example the hollow limb results from the characteristics of the stave, and is a practical, necessary result.
