I gave the handle three coats of tru oil with a 00 steel wool buff between. I then used JB weld and put it on the groves I cut in cholla. Then slid blade in place. I just used a small amount of JB weld first. I've used pine pitch but I've had problems with leaving inside parked vehicle in the sun. Now I at least put a dab of epoxy. I can put pitch over top if I want. This one I just let first dab set. Then mixed another dab and filled in any places I wanted to.

Then I stuck it in my corny picture and here it is.

OK, OK, You did that rock and cactus justice.

Very fine, BJ!  These many years into flintknapping and I still stink at doing that type of flake over grind work.  I've seen guys at knappins make it look like a 5 year old can do it, too!  Ha.  Nice knife nice tree.
