Thanks B2W. It really soaked up a bunch of this stuff. I'm guessing about 6 ounces in the two coats. If I warm it up with my heat gun it seems to draw it back out of the wood.

Well I think I'm pretty close to done here. I might do a little more finish work yet but I'm pretty happy.

Stoner I totally understand your concern with the size and taking away from the knife. I shared it but I gotta say this is my favorite knife and stand I've ever made. The pictures really don't do it justice. It is almost more of a center piece though it just looks cool from every angle.

I really enjoyed doing this thread sure glad I didn't screw it up. Thanks everyone for looking
