Addiction is real
« on: February 16, 2020, 02:27:03 pm »
I had plans for this bow to be placed in the pot for the pa bow trade. I am sorry to say that I could not wait as a child cannot wait for Christmas morning. It just laid there in my hand for days and suddenly I was holding a bow. Its 45 lbs at 28 inches. I love it.

Thank you sir! It chucks my 500 grain arrows with authority. Right where I'm looking at 20 yards. A little shockey but I'm working on that.

I thought this would be a twist on an arrow pass. I made the hole just a smidgeon too big. I have plenty more wood for bows. This one is special right now lol

I agree, very nice bow. You could bring the bend back towards the handle, top and bottom but other than that...very nice bow.  :OK
I like the medallion too!

"No Cash Value" sounds like a great name for a bow.

Thanks guys! I thought the token would be a nice touch. I was leaning towards "a token of friendship" but now I really want to build another for the trade lol

The handshock is because the lower limb is weak.

Is the lower limb looking like its bending too much? Its 1.5 inches shorter than the top. Its definitely slightly stiffer as I have about 1/8th inch positive tiller. It way over powered the top limb on the initial long string tillering.

It does look like bottom limb may be a bit weak,,hard for me to see in full draw,,,u might look at that a bit,,.Osage can get a bit shocky if it has too much mass weight for the draw weight,,,easy to do cause it does not take much Osage to make a bow,,.,u might consider weighing the bow...it looks great,, sure it will tune up nicely
