How does one attach a head on a quiver?

I've searched and searched and I just can't seem to find out how this is done.  How do you attach a head on a quiver like this?

I'm still in the process of tanning the hides so I'll probably have a few mote questions before this is through.

Pat B:
You will have to remove the head from the hide. Cut it off with a sharp razor from the flesh side or you will be inundated with lots of loose hair.  The times I did this I used a strip of thin leather to go over the cut edge, punch the holes in the 3 layers, skin and both edges of the trim strip, and stitch it to the rim of the quiver.

Mesophilic:
Thanks, that makes more sense than what I was picturing in my mind.

mullet:
Why wouldn't you just tube the hide when skinning it and leave the head attached?

From what I can see of pictures on my phone it looks like those critters were “case skinned” like a tube as Eddie says. They would have just had a cut from rear leg to rear leg and around the anus to the tail.

The quivers I have made I put the head to bottom. Sew mouth opening closed and put arrows in from opposite end where origin cut was made. I fold top couple inches of hide over and let tail hang down.

I’ll try to see if I can post a picture of one I did before.
