Trying to shoot 170lbs

(1/2) > >>

bowman123:
I am trying to shoot this massive 170lb@32" bow but I just can't get it to full draw.
What do you suggest I should do?
I can do 140@32" with a fiberglass recurve
but This bow is so heavy for some reason I can't even pull it to 27", which is only around 130lbs@27"
Why can't I pull it to my max potential draw weight comparing with that recurve?

GlisGlis:
I' put my feet on the handle and grab the string with both hands  (lol)
it is not guarantee of success tough    )-w(

Eric Krewson:
When you are my age (72) and stuff you did in your youth comes back to haunt you physically, perhaps you will wish you stayed with the 140# bow which after all is very impressive to us old guys.

Hawkdancer:
See your orthopedic surgeon!  And listen to your elders!  We been there, done that, and don't recommend it!  Eric is right!  >:D (lol)

BowEd:
Heck of a stick.
You'll have to figure out a strenghtening regimine strategy to be able to pull that bow.
Nothing wrong with and a good goal that but to avoid injury it'll have to be done.
