new hunting arrows for a friend

My neighbor down the street keeps me well supplied with raw materials,  but he has been going through a rough patch lately.  His wife left him about a year ago, and then in November he suffered a heart attack just before his big annual hunting trip.  The winter and rehab have been rough, and I wanted to do something nice for him.  I made him these hunting arrows to give him something to work for. I made him a bow a while back, but he can't really draw it at the moment.  He is hoping to be in good enough shape next year that he can go bow hunting with it.

The turkey feathers on these arrows are from a bird he shot and donated the wings to me.  The shafts are dogwood, and the tips are from an old saw blade and attached with pitch glue and sinew.

This is really good. I will have to get all my arrows looking this uniform.

Hawkdancer:
Nice arrows, and an even nicer gesture for you!  Hope your friend is able to make the hunt this season!

Those are some fine looking arrows. Nice work for a great purpose.
