You shouldn't be having that much trouble, cane usually bends easily if you just take it slow and easy. I wouldn't try bending it over my knee or a surface, I just hold it in my hands and tweak it. It usually doesn't take much force, even for sharp bends. a cane culm that looks like a streak of lightning will usually straighten right out in a few minutes. What kind of cane, and what stage did you cut it at?
