Heat treat question

Say I'm heating a board from one side. That side is 400° and the other side is 200°. Does it stand to reason that the very middle of the board will be 300°?

If that is your steady state condition, then I think you are correct and it is 300 in the middle. If the temps are not steady then it may not be correct.

Diddo and how do we know that?? Spent some hours on the heat bench . That’s what it takes to just get close. Arvin
