Not a hog nose snake in my opinion.   The nose isn't right and the pattern is off.  That picture is deceiving from the angle.  I wouldn't consider that a fat snake.  Look at the lighter next to it for scale.

I really think it’s a eastern milk snake. The head was a bit squished. The bottom jaw was stick out a bit. I’ve looked at a bunch of eastern milk snake pictures and it sure looks like the same snake to me. What ever it is, sure has a pretty pattern. The belly pattern goes good with the back to.

Love to have a pair. I do have a really short recurve bendy i was working on at Marshall last year. I’ve been thinking about putting sinew on it. This snake would cover. Most of it.
