Hedging, same with osage?

<< < (2/3) > >>

Eric Krewson:
I believe barb wire was invented in 1876, for the most part this did away with established osage fence rows.

JEB:
Interesting that the old timer and the gal both were wearing white shirts and ties.

dylanholderman:
i was impressed at how accurate he was with all of his cutting tools  (A)
i also liked the narrator acknowledging the time at takes to train some up to the point that they are useful, thats something i feel we have lost in modern industry. bosses think they can just throw anyone on any task and expect them to do it well and that is sadly not the case.

osage outlaw:
Thanks for posting that.  It was very interesting.   I can see evidence of that technique in the hedge rows on my property.   There are stretches where all of the trees are at roughly a 30 degree angle.  I always assumed the wind had laid them over.  After watching that video I'm thinking they were trimmed to grow that way.
I was impressed with how sharp his tools were.  That bill hook was slicing that wood like it was butter.

Eric Krewson:
Modern video, keeping the craft alive.
