Greenish color Bamboo

(1/2) > >>

DC:
I have two odd pieces of boo from separate logs. The nodes line up quite closely so they would work together but one is bamboo colored and the other has a greenish tinge. Is there a way to get rid of the green? I've had it standing out in the sun for a couple of days and not much seems to be happening. I'd rather not stain it as colors aren't my strong point :-[ :-[

Pat B:
Sunlight usually bleaches out most bamboo. Build a bow with a green bamboo backing. ;D

DC:
It's only long enough for half a bow. I use two piece boo backing. I'm starting to wonder why. :)

Eric Krewson:
I use mandrake bamboo and find it has a slightly greenish cast under the rind when dry.

DC:
I'm pretty sure this is Moso. It's odd that I just have the one 36"x2"piece. I bought four 8'x4" logs and I don't have any greenish bows. It's like it turned green standing in the corner.
